Pavement is generally good with occasional edges/gravel on inside corners. The course starts at the Corbett School parking lot, heading East 2.1 miles along the Historic Columbia River Scenic Highway. Veer right on East Larch Mt Rd for 14.1 miles to the summit. This road has low traffic with typically local drivers. Conditions at the top can vary, so riders may leave a bag at the staging area to be taken up to the finish. Bags will depart at the same time as the first riders leave (9:30am).
